2026 Annual Expo Auction Market Report

Good auction sale this week considering all of the volatility in the commodity markets! Oil prices and trucking cost were the most discussed by buyers. The condition of the global economy as a whole was also a topic of discussion. Buyers were very focused on purchasing equipment that is going directly to the field, for needs rather than wants. Total, lot count was 1408, over two days. 1761 individual buyers participated from across the country. Additionally, a fair bit of export buying took place, with equipment going to Mexico, Canada and China.

  • Livestock equipment sold strong due to the opportunities in today's cattle market.
  • Hay and forage equipment was off the market from 2025 at 20 to 25%. Hay producers in the west seem to be waiting out the market and are having deep discussions regarding the record dry winter that held off some major purchases.
  • Harvesters sold well if they were in good condition.
  • Tractors that were pre-def and mid-sized sold very well. High horse row-crop tractors were good but did not set any sale records.
  • Tillage equipment that was in good shape sold great.
  • Construction equipment was also strong when it came to clean, ready to go to the job kind of iron.
  • Miscellaneous items including trucks and trailers were strong.

Overall, we had a great sale! We could not do what we do without the buyers and the sellers, so THANK YOU! It is always a pleasure to work with all of you who have become friends over the many years. Also, I want to give a shout out to the whole J&C crew! They are the best and we could not do this without them!

Respectfully, JB Dimick
